They have an extra sentimental and special feeling attached to them as they are often presents for milestone birthdays, anniversaries, or Christmas gifts.
Family oil portraits are often inspired by a client’s most treasured images. For example this family portrait of Gisela and her son was a birthday present from her partner. The reference image was taken during a family holiday and it is her favourite photo of them together.
I hand delivered the gift to their home and was lucky to witness the joy that the oil portrait brought Gisela and Nick in Windsor.

How much does it cost to commission a bespoke oil portrait?
I know how valuable a portrait is and will work individually with you to make sure that we have the best option for you and your budget. All prices and sizes are a guide, once we've decided the composition and scale I will provide a specific quote.
Initial deposit will be required, I have payment plan options available too.
Family portrait price guide
Guide price for 3-4 people - e.g. Two adults and two children
40 𝑥 50cm | 16" 𝑥 20" Prices start from £4,500
Smaller than life-size, good for close composition and group headshot portraits
50cm 𝑥 60cm | 20" 𝑥 24" Prices start from £6,000
More complex compositions for head & shoulders portraits of groups, with more room for background interest
80cm 𝑥 100cm | 32" 𝑥 40" Prices start from £8,500
Larger, impactful lifesize pieces, ½ or ¾ body with more opportunity to include environment in the composition.
Guide price for group portraits of more than four people
Note: Scale benefits larger group portraits, smaller sizes are likely not applicable, but do enquire if you have a specific composition in mind.
